The Genie Club
The Genie Club is an after school provision offering a similar setup to our Saturday Club - homework support, ELSA and social skills development all crammed into an hour long session! The club is exclusive to pupils within their own school setting and is fully inclusive.
We are currently working with a number of schools within the Wandsworth borough, including Riversdale Primary, St Michael's and Mosaic but are always looking to extend the Genie community and support more school learners. Email us to find out more!

SATs Preparation Workshops
What does our programme look like?
The preparation programme will consist of 6 weeks worth (1 hour weekly) of workshop delivery, focused around wellbeing (managing assessment anxiety, organisational skills and growth mindset), useful assessment techniques and consolidating key academic areas such as GPS and arithmetic.
Why our workshops?
There is a growing concern about the mental wellbeing of young people and how national assessments are adding to this. The ASCL (Association of school and college leaders) survey (2024) found that 77% of GCSE pupils had experienced mental health issues relating to exam anxiety. The YouGov survey (2022) found 60% of Year 6 pupils were worried about taking their SATs and one in ten of them not sleeping well because of the upcoming assessments.
In recent years, we have seen some of the most challenging SATs papers to date, with 51% of pupils saying they spend most of their time practising through sitting mock papers. Despite the increasing pressure for all stakeholders to perform, it is still proving difficult to give enough wellbeing support in the lead up to these assessments.
We have a proven track record of improving pupils' resilience and confidence, evident through parent and school feedback, and subsequently all Year 6 pupils we have previously worked with have gone on to achieve significantly better results than they were projected.
The programme would prove beneficial to all Year 6 pupils, but we feel it would be particularly beneficial to the following groups:
- Pupil Premium / Disadvantaged Backgrounds
- SEND pupils
- EAL pupils
Delivery:
Each session will begin with a class discussion and presentation, followed by a practical task. Sessions are split into two parts: wellbeing and an academic focus.
